RUBINLAKE has three roles you can assign yourself. They appear under Account → Users and team (/account/users) in the Role column.
The three roles
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything an organization admin can, and is typically the billing owner |
| Organization admin | Invite and remove members, change their roles, edit the organization profile |
| Member | Work with the organization's data, without managing members or billing |
Platform admin is an internal RUBINLAKE role for staff with platform-wide rights. It cannot be assigned inside your organization and only appears as a note if it comes up.
Change a role
Owners and organization admins change a role directly in the member list. The change takes effect immediately.
Billing is a separate permission
The role alone does not decide billing. Plan changes, the payment method, top-ups, and cancellation are visible and operable only for the billing owner. Everyone else sees the plan and the credit balance on Account → Plan and billing but none of the actions, and gets a note saying so.
Reactivating a cancelled subscription is likewise reserved for the billing owner.
What each role may do with the organization profile
Only owners and organization admins can change the organization's name and logo. Members see the fields read-only.
