Automatic top-up and spend limit

Buy credits automatically when they run low, and cap what that can cost.

Automatic top-up keeps enrichments from pausing in the middle of a campaign. The spend limit keeps that from turning into an open-ended bill. Both live under Account → Plan and billing (/account/billing) and are visible only to the billing owner.

Set up automatic top-up

The Automatic top-up section takes three settings:

  1. Switch: automatic top-up on or off.
  2. Threshold: the credit balance at which a top-up is bought.
  3. Pack: which credit pack to buy.

Confirm with Update. When the available balance falls below the threshold, RUBINLAKE buys the chosen pack using your stored payment method.

Set the threshold high enough that the top-up lands before a running enrichment stops.

Monthly spend limit

The Monthly spend limit section caps how much may be spent on automatic top-ups per month. Confirm with Update as well.

With no limit set, the page notes that automatic top-ups are not capped.

A limit of 0 blocks everything

A spend limit of 0 blocks every automatic top-up. The page warns about it, because the result is easy to misread: automatic top-up stays switched on, never fires, and enrichments pause anyway once credits run out.

To stop automatic top-up, switch it off rather than setting the limit to 0.

Requirements

  • An active paid subscription. The feature is not available during the trial.
  • A stored payment method. See Manage your payment method.

Checking that it worked

Automatic top-ups show up as purchased credits on the Credit balance card and as an invoice in the invoice list.
