Credits are the currency your organization spends on data-heavy actions in RUBINLAKE. They belong to the organization, not to individuals: everyone on the team draws from the same allowance.

When credits are spent

Credits are used when you:

  • Unlock contact details such as an email address or a phone number
  • Enrich companies or contacts
  • Export records
  • Use premium data or advanced features on your plan

How much a single action costs is shown in the app where you trigger it. An email address and a mobile number, for example, cost different amounts.

Spent or reserved

Not every action finishes at once, so RUBINLAKE tracks two states:

  • Spent: the action is complete and the credits are debited.
  • Reserved: the action is still running. The credits are set aside and count as used until the action completes or is released.

Both are visible under Account → Credit usage. A reservation that leads to no result is released again.

Renewal

Every organization gets a credit allowance according to its plan. On monthly billing it resets at the end of the billing period, and unused included credits expire. On annual billing one allowance covers the whole term. See Monthly or annual.

The date of the next renewal is shown under Account → Credit usage.

Keeping consumption down

  1. Search narrowly before triggering data-heavy actions.
  2. Review records before enriching or exporting them.
  3. Prioritize the lists that belong to a live campaign.
  4. Do not export a broad search before checking the quality of the results.

When credits run low

The app warns as soon as the balance is low, and pauses enrichments and unlocks once it is exhausted. You then have two options:

If you are not the billing owner, the notice points you to the person in your organization who is.
