Delete your account

Deleting your account lives under Account → Profile (/account), in the Danger zone section at the bottom of the page.

How it works

1. Open Account → Profile.
2. Scroll to the Danger zone.
3. Click the delete action.
4. Type your email address into the field in the dialog to confirm.
5. Confirm.

Typing your email address is deliberate. It keeps the deletion from happening on a stray click.

Settle these first

• Deleting is not cancelling. Deleting your account does not end your organization's subscription. To stop billing, cancel first under Account → Plan and billing.
• Are you the billing owner? After your deletion nobody can manage the plan, the payment method, or a cancellation. Hand the role over first.
• Are you the only owner? Your organization would lose its administration. Make someone else an owner or organization admin first.
• If you are only moving on, leaving the organization is usually the better route. Your account stays intact.
