Remove members and leave an organization

End access for colleagues who have left, or step out yourself.

Both actions live under Account → Users and team (/account/users) in the member list.

Remove a member

Owners and organization admins use Remove in the member's row and confirm in the dialog.

After removal:

  • The person can no longer sign in to this organization.
  • The seat is free immediately.
  • The organization's data stays complete. Contacts, lists, tasks, and notes belong to the organization, not to the person who created them.
  • The status in the list changes to Removed.

If you only want to give someone fewer rights rather than cut off access, change their role instead.

Leave yourself

Leave in your own row takes you out of the organization. Confirm in the dialog. Your RUBINLAKE account stays intact; you only lose access to this organization's data.

Check before you leave:

  • Are you the billing owner? Nobody would be left to manage the plan and payments.
  • Are you the only owner? Make someone else an owner first.

If you want to close your account entirely, see Delete your account.
