Signals sits directly under Dashboard in the main navigation. It watches the companies your organization follows and turns what is written about them into individual, classified events.
What makes a signal
A signal is one thing that happened at one company: a fire at a plant, an insolvency filing, a funding round, a strike. Each one carries the sources it was built from, a priority, a place, a date, and the reasoning behind its priority.
It is not a headline feed. Two articles about the same fire become one signal with two sources, and the signal is revised as more sources arrive.
What Signals replaces
Signals replaces the older newsfeed and the separate news search. Everything those two did is here, together with classification, priority, alerting, and a map.
Where signals appear
- Signals in the main navigation, as a list, a map, an inbox, or a trend view
- The Signals tab on any company profile, with that company's risk score
- Your inbox, and a daily email if your organization has it switched on
What to read next
- Set up Signals, to get from an empty workspace to a useful one.
- Sales and supplier perspectives, for the one idea the rest of the feature rests on.
