The Credit balance card under Account → Plan and billing (/account/billing) splits your balance into several lines. The distinction matters because the pots expire differently.

Every member sees this card, billing rights or not.

The lines

Line Meaning
Included credits From your plan, renewed with the billing period
Purchased credits From top-ups, with their own expiry date
Purchased credits (frozen) Paid for, but currently not usable
Available credits What you can actually spend right now
Next expiry When the next tranche of purchased credits expires

Available credits is the number that counts. The rest explains how it is made up.

Why purchased credits can be frozen

Purchased credits are frozen while your organization has no active subscription, for example after a cancellation or while a payment has not gone through. The balance is not lost; it becomes usable again as soon as there is an active subscription.

A second case is a correction being applied to purchased credits. The card then notes that new credits cannot currently be used.

Watch the expiry

Purchased credits do not follow your plan's rhythm; they follow their own expiry date. The Next expiry field names the closest one. Plan larger enrichments before it rather than letting the balance lapse.

On cancellation, all unused credits expire once access ends, purchased ones included. See Cancel and reactivate your subscription.

Where consumption is shown

The balance shows the level. Where the credits went is under Account → Credit usage. See Usage, history, and export.
