An artifact is a self-contained HTML file that runs as an operable page in the Knowledge Hub: a calculator, a chart or a model readers can adjust themselves.
Upload
- In the Knowledge Hub, choose New page → Upload artifact.
- Drop an
.htmlfile, or paste the content from your clipboard. - Give it a title and a summary, then save.
An .md file goes into the editor instead and becomes an ordinary page.
How an artifact runs
The artifact only ever runs inside an isolated frame, separate from the application. It has no access to your session, your account or your organization's data. For the same reason, an artifact cannot reach company or contact data inside RUBINLAKE.
Editing it later
An uploaded artifact offers three views:
- Preview runs it exactly as readers see it.
- Design selects individual elements and changes text, size, weight, alignment and colours.
- Code shows the source and allows precise edits.
Changes made in Design mode are saved into the artifact's source.
