Open Account → Sites. These are your plants, warehouses, and offices, and they are what turns "a fire in Bavaria" into "a fire eleven kilometres from your plant".
Add a site
- Choose Add site and give it a name people will recognize, for example Plant Ingolstadt.
- Pick the type: plant, warehouse, distribution centre, office, retail, or other.
- Enter the address. A country is required so the site can be placed.
- Set the radius. A road closure fifty kilometres from a plant is a delivery problem; the same closure fifty kilometres from a sales office is nothing.
- Drag the pin onto the gate. A pin placed by hand beats any address lookup, and it is stored as exact.
Accuracy
Each site shows how well its address resolved: exact, approximate, or city only. A site placed at a city centre can be ten kilometres from the actual entrance, which matters most when the radius is small. If the accuracy reads city only and the radius is tight, move the pin by hand.
Suggestions
If your company profile holds addresses that are not sites yet, the page offers them for review so you do not retype them.
Removing a site
Remove site takes it off the map, and signals near it stop being flagged. Set a site to inactive instead when a location is closed for a season but not gone.
Privacy
Your sites stay in your workspace. They are used to measure distance, they are never sent to the model that reads the news, and they are never shared with another organization.
